Retired Port Adelaide champion Travis Boak will suit up for local club Torquay in the Bellarine Football Netball League (BFNL) next year.

Boak ended his time at the Power as the club's games record holder, playing 387 games across 19 seasons.

He was the club's skipper between 2013 and 2018, and was a three-time All-Australian as well as a two-time John Cahill medallist.

But the Geelong local will suit up for the Tigers in 2026, and will don his late father's old No.5 jumper.

Boak played one senior game in 2006 prior to being drafted by the Power.

The Tigers were beaten in a BFNL preliminary final by eventual premiers Anglesea in September.

Boak has quickly become hot property at clubland following his retirement, with multiple rivals throwing their hat in the ring for his services.

It is understood that Carlton has won the sweepstakes for the retired Power legend, who brings the 37-year-old into Ikon Park in an off-field role.

The Blues reportedly discussed football department roles, whilst fending off moves by Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs.

Boak will reunite with list manager Chris Davies, who took up a role at Carlton following the 2025 season.

He said following his final game he'd like to return to sporting circles in some capacity, whether that's in a performance-coaching space or in the areas of corporate and business.

Boak's arrival at Carlton sees him take on a leadership and culture role at the club, returning to Victoria for the first time since he was drafted to the Power in 2006.
