The Swans cruised to a 114-point victory over the Tigers, with Charlie Curnow (eight goals, including six in the first half alone), and Isaac Heeney (32 touches, 5 goals), at their dominant best.

The Swans led by 20 at the first change. A second term tsunami saw their advantage grow to 51 points at the main break, before more of the same had the Sydneysiders 97 points to the good at the final change.

Academy product Heeney produced the second-highest rated first half of his glittering career, registering 21 touches, two majors and some nine score involvements to place his side's foot firmly on the throat of their injury-ravaged and rebuilding opponent.

"It's nice when everything clicks, isn't it?" Heeney asked broadcasters, post-match.

Chad Warner is also likely to feature in the votes come Brownlow night, after registering 32 disposals and three goals of his own.

Without eight of their first-choice 23 players featuring in the match, some lesser lights shone in Sydney's afternoon sunshine.

Depth piece Peter Ladhams translated some recent VFL dominance to the big time, capably covering for the rested Brodie Grundy. Ladhams posted 24 hitouts, to go with 23 disposals and a goal.

Emerging commodities Angus Sheldrick and Tom Hanily, in just his second game of the year, showed glimpses of the players they promise to become, too, combining for 46 disposals. Hanily posted 11 score involvements, while Sheldrick was busy, posting 10 score involvements while extracting three clearances.

Hayden McLean would shoulder some of the scoring responsibility, finishing his 100th match with four goals.

It was the perfect response for Cox and co, one week removed from a rare loss at the hands of fellow contenders, Geelong.

Veterans Jack Ross, Jacob Hopper, and Nick Vlastuin were among the toiling Tigers' best on a dirty day, the likes of which are all too familiar for the kneecapped club. Youngster Jasper Alger topped the scoring for Adem Yze's men, scoring three majors.
