GWS utility Toby McMullin has signed a two-year extension on top of his current contract, locking him away until the end of 2028.
It comes after a career year for the 21-year-old at the Western Sydney-based outfit, where the dynamic midfield-forward averaged 11.5 disposals, 2.3 inside 50s and 2.6 score involvements per game.
McMullin joined the Giants in the 2022 National Draft with Pick 34, and has played 28 games in three years, registering a career-best 14 games last year, before adding another 11 in 2025.
GWS Executive General Manager of Football, Jason McCartney, said McMullin's new deal is a reflection of both his growth and potential.
“Toby's development over the past three years has been really encouraging,” McCartney said.
“He's an exciting young player who brings great energy and effort to everything he does. His speed, power and strong decision-making skills make him a valuable part of our side, and we've seen him continue to add layers to his game with every season.
“We're delighted to have Toby commit through to 2028 and we're looking forward to watching him continue to evolve as part of this emerging group.”
McMullin's extension adds to a growing list of GWS young guns recommitting in 2025, joining the likes of Finn Callaghan (2029), Connor Idun (2032), Aaron Cadman (2030), Xavier O'Halloran (2028), Darcy Jones (2028), Jack Buckley (2030), and Ryan Angwin (2028) in extending their time with the club.
