Melbourne has locked away a quintet of youngsters to new deals, headed by Andy Moniz-Wakefield.
The five players included Kynan Brown, Will Verrall, Oliver Sestan and Luker Kentfield alongside Moniz-Wakefield, extending their time at the Demons until at least the end of 2025.
The good news comes to Moniz-Wakefield and Brown as the pair both made their debuts in the AFL in 2024.
Moniz-Wakefield joined the club as a Category B Rookie ahead of the 2022 season and was handed his jumper in Round 17 after strong form in the VFL.
Brown's opportunity came in Round 16, the 19-year-old following in dad Nathan's footsteps by pulling on the red and blue guernsey.
Sestan and Verrall extend their time at Melbourne following impressive campaigns in the reserves, with the latter considered as the senior ruck set to take over from Max Gawn.
Sestan, who landed from Xavier College and Mansfield Football Club, has shown just as much growth since becoming a Dee in late 2022, now with 32 VFL games to his name.
As for Kentfield, he joined the club as a mid-season selection in May this year and has built his game for Casey in the reserves.
Melbourne List Manager Tim Lamb spoke of the exciting prospects.
โWe've been really impressed by the growth of Andy, Will and Ollie this year, and Kynan and Luker have shown some exciting traits in their first season at the club,โ Lamb said.
โWhat we saw from this group, at both AFL and VFL level, only gives us confidence for what lies ahead.
โWe think all have a bright future at our club, and we look forward to them continuing to develop their craft.โ
It is understood that both Jake Melksham and Tom McDonald have deals on the table for 2025 but have not yet been made official by the club.
Adam Tomlinson's future remains up in the air as rival clubs have considered making a play for the out-of-favour defender, while Marty Hore is currently without a contract for next year.
The Demons also delist Josh Schache and Kyah Farris-White as the club's 2025 list takes shape.
