Melbourne have parted ways with father-son selection Taj Woewodin after four years, with the young utility delisted by the Demons.
Woewodin was drafted to Melbourne from East Fremantle, following in the footsteps of his father and Brownlow Medal winner, Shane.
The 22-year-old made his AFL debut in 2023 against St Kilda late into the year, and would appear three more times before the season's conclusion.
He would appear at AFL level 16 times the following season, and in just one game in 2025.
During his time with the Demons, Woewodin won a VFL premiership with Casey in 2022.
“On behalf of everyone at the club, we would like to thank Taj for his contribution and commitment to the football program over the past four seasons,” Demons list manager Tim Lamb said.
“Taj gave his all in his time with us, and we wish him nothing but the best for the future.”
Woewodin's departure follows the delistings of Jack Billings, Will Verrall, Marty Hore, Tom Fullarton, Oliver Sestan and Kynan Brown.
Melbourne also bid farewell to Christian Petracca (Gold Coast), Clayton Oliver (GWS), Charlie Spargo (North Melbourne) and Judd McVee (Fremantle) during the trade and free agency windows.
The Demons acquired Jack Steele, Max Heath and Changkuoth Jiath in trades, as well as Brody Mihocek via free agency.
