Collingwood defender Jeremy Howe will miss his side's important clash with Sydney this Saturday night, after suffering a concussion against Richmond last weekend.

Howe was taken from the field early in the contest after taking an accidental knee in the face from teammate Darcy Moore, and has failed to train in Collingwood's sessions during the week, meaning he has been ruled out of Saturday's fixture.

Howe will be replaced in the side by former basketballer Jack Madgen, who will make his Collingwood debut in Sydney.

Madgen was upgraded to the senior list last week, and will come into the side after an impressive year in the VFL.
