Is it beginner's luck or clearer instruction by Josh Fraser at Carlton?
The departure of Michael Voss as senior coach was needed, and the fresh voice of Fraser, who was quick to remove himself from any speculation regarding the new vacancy, has worked wonders for the group at Ikon Park.
Consecutive wins against the vulnerable Western Bulldogs and Port Adelaide in South Australia since the changing of the guard begs the question of all Blues fans: Where were these performances before?
Despite a small sample size, there has already been considerable improvement under the direction of Fraser, which has ultimately led to hearing the 'Da Dada Dada' after the final siren.
And the one stat on focus is scoring from turnover.
Punishing the opposition is king in modern football, and if you can't turn defence into attack, you're nowhere.
Carlton's one-wood under Voss was its incredible strength through stoppage, boasting the likes of Patrick Cripps, George Hewett, Adam Cerra, Marc Pittonet and Sam Walsh.
But once the ball left the contest, they wilted like a plant without water. Their transition lacked, whether it was personnel or instruction. Hewett was a victim of the change in tact by Voss, but returned for the past three weeks.
Statistically, the Blues aren't a strong turnover side. For the year, they have have a negative differential of 18.9 points, whilst returning positively from stoppage (+6.5 points).
However, the past two weeks under Fraser, it has corrected, albeit not necessarily against the strongest sides.
The Bulldogs match yielded -1 from turnover, mainly due to inaccuracy. The narrative repeated itself against Port Adelaide.
The pleasing thing for Carlton fans was they conceded 33 points from turnover and then 48 but matched it, allowing their strengths at stoppage to be the glaring difference in the outcome.
The Blues have struggled to score from turnover, but reducing the punishment of the opposition, or matching them, has been a large improvement under Fraser thus far.
They've got the balance right in the past fortnight. Let's see if they can continue.

Hewett said following the Power victory if they keep winning, Fraser should reconsider his position on the top gig at Carlton.
