Adelaide will be without key defender Jake Lever for its clash with Geelong on Friday night.
Lever sustained a hamstring injury during the Crows' win over Melbourne on Saturday night and was taken out of the game in third quarter.
Coach Don Pyke confirmed on Thursday morning he will miss the match and ex-cricketer, Alex Keath will make his AFL debut.
"Jake Lever won't play with hamstring tightness, so we'll try and get him organised for next week if we can," Pyke said.
"It's just too tight on a six-day turnaround.
"It's nothing major, so we're really hopeful he'll be right for the following game."
He will be the fourth Adelaide player to debut this season afterย Jordan Gallucci, Hugh Greenwood and Jonathon Beech.
