Five-time Hawthorn premiership player Dermott Brereton has selected the three most clutch goals in AFL/VFL history.

Speaking on SEN, The Hawks great and Fox Footy analyst named the three best match-winning goals he has seen in the game’s history, with two coming in the 1987 season.

“I think his coach Peter Schwab said once, ‘If ever I had to have somebody kicking for goal after the siren for my life, it was Ben Dixon’,” Brereton said.

“He kicked one at the MCG against Carlton.”
