GWS suffered an early injury blow in their clash with the Western Bulldogs, with a hamstring setback seeing second-year midfield-forward Darcy Jones subbed out of the game in the opening quarter.
The injury occurred after Jones gained possession of the ball on the back flank and pulled up lame after kicking the ball, with the 20-year-old seen holding his left thigh afterwards.
Jones came from the field in the first term and was in the hands of Giants medical staff for several minutes before heading to the club's rooms prior to the opening break.
GWS acted quickly to sub Jones out of the game, with young forward Conor Stone brought into the match with over three quarters of play remaining.
The club soon confirmed Jones suffered a hamstring injury and would not return.

Jones made his AFL debut earlier this season against Brisbane in Round 8, having worked his way back from an ACL injury sustained during his rookie season.
The Dogs were yet to use their tactical sub, with utility Caleb Daniel on standby.
