Adelaide defender Josh Worrell has entered a guilty plea in Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday for aggravated driving without due care.

In July, Worrell was behind the wheel of his car when he drove through a red light and hit a 29-year-old man who was crossing the road on a green pedestrian light.

The man sustained head injuries, with security footage showing Worrell helping the man into his car before taking him to hospital.

Worrell was initially also charged with failing to present to police within 30 minutes of a collision which resulted in injury, however that has since been dropped.

The 25-year-old Crows defender will be sentenced on Tuesday. The prosecution has not asked for jail time but for the conviction to be on Worrell's record and for him to serve a short good behaviour bond or community service program.

Worrell was on the way to training when the crash occurred.

Adelaide has not yet stated whether it will impose a club sanction on Worrell after the conviction.

The club previously gave the 79-gamer a $2000 sanction in 2021 when he was caught by police on his phone and with a blood alcohol level of 0.056.
