Former St Kilda forward Jack Lonie has joined Ovens and Murray league club Albury for 2027.

Lonie played 87 games for the Saints from 2015-2021 before being delisted. He has since played for Cheltenham in Division One of the Southern Football League.

The Tigers have also recently signed former Richmond superstar Dustin Martin, although it is expected to be for only one game.

Lonie will join former Richmond, GWS and Gold Coast player Anthony Miles who has been at Albury in a playing and coaching capacity since he was delisted by the Suns at the end of 2020.

"With experience at the highest level, Jack is a huge addition to our club!" Albury's post read.

"A lifelong St Kilda supporter, Jack's football journey saw him develop through Seaford and the Dandenong Stingrays before realising his childhood dream, being selected by the Saints with Pick No. 41 in the 2014 AFL National Draft.

"Jack went on to enjoy seven seasons at the Saints, making his mark at AFL level, earning an AFL Rising Star nomination in 2015 and finishing his time at the club with an impressive 87 games and 73 goals.
"We're incredibly excited to have someone of Jack's calibre, experience and talent joining our club and look forward to seeing what he brings to the Tigers in 2027."

Former Richmond and North Melbourne forward Robin Nahas has also joined a local football club for 2027.
Nahas will line up for Shepparton East in the Kyabram District League next season.
In 2026, Nahas played with fellow regional side Sea Lake in the North Central Football League, losing in the grand final to Wedderburn.
The 38-year-old has spent plenty of time at local football level since he left North Melbourne at the end of 2016, in both a playing and coaching capacity.
Shepparton East finished fourth before exiting the season in the first week of finals.
