Former Hawthorn 209cm ruck Jaime Uhr-Henry has signed with Northern Football Netball League club Hurstbridge for 2027.
The 23-year-old spent two seasons on the Hawks' list after being selected as a Category B rookie in 2024.
Uhr-Henry converted from basketball to football when given the opportunity by his boyhood club Hawthorn, but never debuted at AFL level.
Hurstbridge, which finished seventh in Division One in 2026, announced the signing through its social channels on Saturday.
"Standing at an imposing 209cm, Jaime is an exciting ruck prospect who has taken an unconventional path into football after previously pursuing basketball at NBL1 level," the club's post read.
"His standout performance this season came against Richmond in Round 8, where he recorded an impressive 45 hit outs.
"With his 209cm frame, basketball background and continued development in the VFL system, Jaime brings an exciting new dimension to our list.
"Now boasting the tallest ruck stocks in club history, we look forward to seeing our midfielders get plenty of first use.
"Jaime's mobility and ability to follow up at ground level and apply pressure through his tackling will add another exciting element to our midfield mix."

Uhr-Henry will join The Bridges full-time next year as the club looks to make the next step towards finals.
Across his two seasons at Hawthorn, Uhr-Henry played 17 games for Box Hill averaging 17.2 hit outs and 5.2 disposals.
