North Melbourne ruckman Todd Goldstein has strongly denied rumours linking him with a move away from the club.

The former All-Australian ruckman spoke to SEN on Wednesday morning, reaffirming his commitment to the rebuilding Roos.

"I wouldn't have signed a three-year contract last year if that wasn't the case," Goldstein said.

"At no point have myself, my management or even the footy club or any other footy club shown any interest in getting rid of me or taking me so as far as I'm concerned, I'm a North Melbourne player."

In recent weeks, various pundits have suggested North should look to cash in on Goldstein in exchange for more top picks or to secure other targets to accelerate the rebuild.

The development of Braydon Preuss has further complicated the club's list management decisions as coach Brad Scott looks to the future.

Goldstein endured a tough season this year, as a niggling ankle injury affected his form and he was dropped after North's 70-point loss to Port Adelaide in Round 17.

He returned in Round 20 but struggled until playing perhaps his best game for the season in the final round against Brisbane.

The 29-year-old is contracted until the end of 2019.
