Gold Coast's Ben Long will challenge his two-game suspension for his hit on Collingwood defender Brayden Maynard at the AFL tribunal.
Long, whose hit on the Magpie started an all-in brawl on Saturday evening, was given a two-match suspension by match review officer Michael Christian on Sunday.
However, the Suns forward will look to reduce that sentence when he argues his case at 7:30pm on Tuesday night.
Long hit an unaware Maynard just prior to halftime with a shoulder charge to the rib cage. Maynard fell to the ground for a period before it was revealed the 29-year-old had sustained bruised ribs.
The Suns forward has a history of suspensions, having been banned twice previously in his career. Once for hitting Fremantle's Sean Darcy and another for collecting Jack Macrae when he was playing at the Western Bulldogs.
Gold Coast is challenging Ben Long's two-game ban for his bump on Collingwood's Brayden Maynard.

Dogs midfielder Matthew Kennedy will also appeal his suspension on Tuesday after he received a one-match ban for his hit on Sydney's Caiden Cleary on Friday night.
Kennedy elected to bump and hit Cleary high, however, the Swan passed his HIA assessment and played out the rest of the match.
Bulldogs' Will Lewis (staging) and Jordan Croft (engaging in a melee/wrestle), Sydney's Dane Rampe (engaging in a melee/wrestle) and Hawthorn's Jai Newcombe (striking) will challenge their respective fines through written submission. The results of those challenges will be announced on Wednesday.
