A 92-player list containing players eligible for free agency in 2025 has been revealed, with stars across the competition able to hit the open market next year.

This year's free agency window - which will open for one week from this Friday - is set to see several key moves shape this year's player movement period, as Josh Battle, Nick Haynes, Isaac Cumming and others seek new clubs.

2024's crop initially includes the likes of Hugh McCluggage, Tim English, Tyson Stengle and Tom Liberatore, who were part of the majority to recommit at their respective clubs beyond this season.

Geelong captain Patrick Dangerfield remains the only 2024 free agent under the restricted band yet to sign on for next year, however an extension at Kardinia Park looks imminent.

Next year's pool of free agents is again loaded with top-line stars of the AFL, with Carlton's Tom De Koning, Western Bulldogs captain Marcus Bontempelli, Fremantle's Andrew Brayshaw, North Melbourne's Luke Davies-Uniacke, Geelong's Jeremy Cameron and West Coast's Oscar Allen among those eligible to exercise their rights as free agents in 2025.

AFL.com.au has revealed the list of players set to reach free agency next year, with Collingwood having the most with nine players, while GWS and Melbourne have just two each.

Premiers Brisbane will have a mountain of work to do next year after managing to re-sign the McCluggage, Jarrod Berry and Charlie Cameron in 2024, as Cameron Rayner, Joe Daniher and Brandon Starcevich are among the six Lions eligible for free agency over the next 12 months.

Daniher's future is currently up in the air, while fellow 2025 free agents in Sydney's Luke Parker, Port Adelaide's Tom Clurey, St Kilda's Brad Crouch and Carlton's Matthew Kennedy could also be on the move a year prior to their free agency opening.

Players are eligible for free agency when their contracts with a club they've spent eight years with comes to an end. Players can also be eligible for free agency if they have previously been delisted, or have been eligible for free agency in the past.
