Adelaide Crows games record holder Taylor Walker has gone into bat for coach Matthew Nicks, after a gutsy elimination final victory over the Western Bulldogs.
Walker fulfilled his media obligations post-match, bringing him face to face with the journalist who broke the story of the heat Nicks was under during the week, in Channel 7's Tom Morris.
Walker started his rather confrontational chat with Morris by alluding to the faith he has in the Crows playing group, and what that means for the rest of their season, despite Morris' reporting.
"We've got three weeks to go, much to your disgust," Walker spat.
Morris then tried to cool the situation, before Walker doubled down.
"I'm happy for you!" Morris insisted.
"Nicksy will be here mate, don't worry about that," Walker replied.
"So talk to us about the week then, you said 'outside noise'..." Morris said.
"You started it!" Walker interrupted.
"You bet I started it! I do the news, and you won the game, and congratulations for it."
"We answered your critics, didn't we?" Walker replied.
"We're really, really stoked mate. It was awesome."
"We've got three more games to go... much to your disgust." 😏

The Crows will head to the Gabba to face Brisbane next, in another do-or-die final. The Lions will be seeking to win, to recalibrate their assault at the history a third straight flag would bring with it, while the Crows will be eyeing a first preliminary final berth since 2017, and a first premiership since 1998.
