Former Hawk Connor Downie has signed on with North Melbourne's VFL side after departing Waverley Park in 2022.
The 20-year-old was drafted by Hawthorn with Pick no.35 in the 2020 AFL National Draft, going on to play two games in the brown and gold across his time at the club.
Despite not being able to secure consistent game time at senior level, Downie did feature for the Hawks in the VFL. The young midfielder played 14 games for Box Hill, averaging 14 disposals and four marks across his five 2022 appearances.

Taken at pick No.35 in the 2020 AFL Draft, Downie is an intelligent user of the ball with a raking left foot, making him a dangerous prospect around forward 50.

Ben Davis, who played 11 games for Adelaide in the AFL and 69 in the SANFL, also recently signed with North Melbourne to continue his career in the VFL.
