Round 4 was another beauty so here are the, well, quite frankly, useless talking points stats wise.

3. 3. Pendlebury the king of the MCG

Collingwood rightly proclaimed Scott Pendlebury as king of the MCG, becoming the first player to play over 200 games at any single venue. His 201st match was, however, probably one to forget unfortunately for the Pies. And it still leaves him 19 wins short of Kevin Bartlett’s 138 wins, including three grand finals from his 200 games at the 'G.

Pendlebury is now jokingly too often referred to as the player “with a basketball background” after commentators mentioned it so many times early in his career. He quietly moved into first place for most handballs in AFL history, passing Gary Ablett Jnr, who was on 4201 despite Ablett having played 36 more games. Pendlebury also sits seventh for most disposals, third for most tackles, ninth for clearances, fifth for goal assists and seventh for Brownlow votes, making him one of the greatest players of all time.

Finally as a bit of a side note to the Pendlebury / Bartlett MCG rivalry - Pendlebury has had 2226 more handballs than Bartlett at the MCG.
