Hawthorn is expected to be an active club in this year's AFL player movement space.
Unapologetic in their desire to improve the list, it has been widely publicised that another midfielder could be the missing piece for the Hawks in their quest for silverware.
The Hawks have been closely linked to two guns which is likely to account for the majority of the club's focus and capital during October, while some other pieces around the edges could make sense to increase the club's depth albeit there have not been strong links.

Hawthorn was interested in McKay when he departed North Melbourne, before the key defender ultimately chose Essendon. With McKay potentially on the move after a difficult tenure at Essendon despite three years remaining on his contract, would the Hawks again consider asking the question? The club seems well settled down back and Noah Mraz has emerged as a player of the next generation, but if the Hawks think that after a career at lowly clubs, a contending system could unlock his best, he may be worth a look given his asking price will likely be on the lower side.
