Hawthorn is expected to be an active club in this year's AFL player movement space.
Unapologetic in their desire to improve the list, it has been widely publicised that another midfielder could be the missing piece for the Hawks in their quest for silverware.
The Hawks have been closely linked to two guns which is likely to account for the majority of the club's focus and capital during October, while some other pieces around the edges could make sense to increase the club's depth albeit there have not been strong links.
Archie Perkins
Left-of-centre and it's true that Archie Perkins has had plenty of time and struggled to prove himself at AFL level since being selected in the top 10 of the 2020 draft but could a fresh environment bring out better footy? Hawthorn is quite strong across the field but with Dylan Moore a linking half forward, Jack Ginnivan playing higher and Nick Watson potentially set for more midfield time, a small forward wouldn't go astray and Perkins would not cost much capital.
