Geelong has named five 2022 premiership players in the VFL side for the club's semi-final on Saturday against the Southport Sharks at GMHBA Stadium.
Following the impressive 84-point thumping handed to Port Adelaide on Thursday night, booking a spot in the penultimate week of the AFL competition, fans will see plenty of familiar faces in the reserves grade vying for their spot in the final 23.
Veterans Tom Hawkins and Cam Guthrie have been widely documented to play minutes in the VFL, while defender Sam De Koning will prove his fitness alongside them.
Forward Gary Rohan and midfielder Brandan Parfitt will also press their case for a surprise AFL return as the twos attempt to avoid a straight-sets exit against the Sharks.
Saturday's VFL clash will be Hawkins' first game in the reserves in over 13 years, returning from a foot injury he sustained in Round 15 against Carlton.
De Koning (knee) and Guthrie (achilles) have spent chunks on the sideline, with the latter not being seen since Round 10.
As for Rohan and Parfitt, who remain as fringe players at Geelong, they'll have their chance to put their best foot forward alongside youngsters Mitch Knevitt, Ted Clohesy and Jhye Clark.
Brisbane's VFL side also confirmed that key defender Darragh Joyce will line up in their semi-final against the Williamstown Seagulls at Brighton Home Arena.
Joyce made room for the returning Jack Payne and was shunned to the reserves side.
Joining the left-footer will be cult figure, Bruce Reville, while Deven Robertson, Jarryd Lyons, Shadeau Brain, Jaxon Prior, and Harry Sharp will all feature.
The Lions senior side will hope to keep their season alive as they face Carlton in a do-or-die final on Saturday evening.
