Ranking the top 10 Giants I've seen was an enjoyable yet fairly straight-forward task given the club is only 15 seasons old.

From the originals, prized picks and draftees to those who have extended their careers with the Orange Team, there's been a plethora of talent from day dot.

While GWS is yet to win its first premiership, 19 finals, a Grand Final appearance, four preliminary finals and finals campaigns in seven of the last nine seasons point to a perennial contender.

The genuine superstars have made an impact but those who have helped build the culture and character and set the standards are as worthy of recognition.

Apologies: Heath Shaw, Jesse Hogan, Finn Callaghan, Tom Scully

He's called TFG for a reason. Greene is and has long been too effing good.

The barometer, the x-factor, the difference, the match winner – he's all of the things. An ultra competitor with white line fever, that often has him dance well over the line, Greene bleeds GWS and is the Giants greatest ever player.

As a supporter, you know any time he's near the ball he'll usually do something brilliant and he's turned, and won, more games than I can remember. We don't take having a genius on our team for granted.

Greene's grown and flourished as a leader, wife Georgia and daughter Isla can take some credit for his evolution, and as much as he still attracts boos from the opposition supporters (so 2017 by the way, guys) there is no doubt every opposing team would love him as a teammate.

Having covered his career from his TAC Cup days with the Oakleigh Chargers, I'm a long-time fan and have the awful, old school Instagram filters of the photo to prove it.
