Hawthorn

Quickly becoming a player as marketable as he is mercurial, Nick Watson has capped off a sensational individual season with his first Peter Crimmins Medal as Hawthorn's best and fairest player.

The game-changing small forward earned his first All-Australian selection this year, won the Mark of the Year for his hanger on West Coast's Liam Baker, and became the first player in some 80-odd years to notch 60+ goals while standing at under 170cm tall.

His preliminary final performance was one of the more scintillating individual outings of the season, in a year in which "The Wizard" truly emerged as the game's premier small forward, and one that could prove generational.

Jai Newcombe and Jarman Impey rounded out the podium.
