Adelaide superstar Ebony Marinoff has taken out the 2024 AFLW Best and Fairest following a dominant season for the South Australian club.
The 27-year-old finished three votes ahead of North Melbourne ball magnet Ash Riddell to claim the award for the first time, becoming the second Crows player to take out the title following club great Erin Phillips.
Marinoff polled a total of 23 votes, adding to her tally in eight of her 11 appearances during the home and away season.
Averaging 30.5 disposals, 12.4 tackles and 6.5 clearances per game in 2024, Marinoff polled three votes in five separate matches and secured the win with two votes in Round 10.
Riddell, who polled one vote in the final round, finished with 20 votes for the year, with Essendon's Madison Prespakis rounding out the podium with two fewer votes.
“To be named the AFLW Best and Fairest is a huge honour and one that Ebony should be extremely proud of and as a Club we are very proud of their efforts this season,” Crows head of Women's football Phil Harper said in a statement.
“She works tirelessly to improve herself and her teammates and leads from the front every week.
“Not only is she an extremely talented player but she's also a fantastic leader of our Club and we are very lucky to have her.”
The gong added to Marinoff's seventh All-Australian selection, with the Crows midfielder joined by teammates Chelsea Biddell, Chelsea Randall and Caitlin Gould in the side also.
Brisbane equalled the Crows' efforts with four selections of their own as Ally Anderson, Belle Dawes, Taylor Smith and Sophie Conway earned spots in the 21-player side.
A dozen players selected in the All-Australian side secured their first-ever selections, while eight from last year's team were selected again this year.
Marinoff was named vice-captain of the side, with Kangaroos ace Jasmine Garner selected as skipper.
