Collingwood has rubbished reports that star midfielder Adam Treloar suffered a hamstring setback.

It was reported earlier on Tuesday morning that Treloar sought medical advice after reinjuring the hamstring that ruled him out of the Pies' Round 1 win over the Western Bulldogs.

However, Collingwood have quashed such claims.

“Adam has not reinsured himself,” a Collingwood spokesman told the Herald Sun.

“He went for a scan last week to check on his progress, as a matter of routine. He is fine.”

The gun onballer missed nine games in the back half of the 2018 season after injuring both hamstrings, requiring surgery to repair tendon damage in his left hamstring.

Treloar tweaked that same hamstring last month in Collingwood's Marsh Community Series clash with Richmond.
