Carlton legend Chris Judd was refused entry to the Blues' JLT clash with St Kilda on Wednesday night, after failing to bring a ticket with him to the game.

Despite usually not having tickets and getting in to other arenas, Judd was turned down upon arrival for not having a ticket, although he doesn't believe he needs one.

"Nor should I have to [bring a ticket]," Judd said on Triple M in a jovial tone.

"After what I did for the competition for 14 years. And my community work."

The incident comes on the back of Western Bulldogs vice-president Susan Alberti failing to be allowed in through the main gate to her side's AFLW clash at the Whitten Oval last week.

In a similar experience, Judd was originally bemused by the gate attendant, before realising he was serious.

"I thought it was a good joke," Judd said.

"I liked that the young bloke had a sense of humour, and I continued to walk through, and he said 'nope, you can't come in'.

"I mean, there's good news and bad news from that. The bad news was I was embarrassed. The good news was that young bloke's got a new employment opportunity elsewhere in the community."

Finally, Judd did manage to get inside the ground, but he did have to walk to another gate.

"I just had to go to the next gate," Judd said.

"And actually, as it was happening, a couple of the staff saw it happening and they were sort of marching towards the next gate to make sure it wasn't two from two."
