Contracted Carlton utility Zac Fisher has requested a trade to North Melbourne after touring the Roos' Arden Street facilities.
Fisher remains inked on at Princes Park until the cessation of the 2025 season, however, after only being used on 12 occasions by head coach Michael Voss this season, the Western Australian is looking toward a fresh start.
According to reports from News Corp earlier this week, Fisher is set to be extended a four-year deal by the Roos, with the prospect of a fifth should the 25-year-old meet triggers.
And while the opening trade bell is not set to ring until Monday morning in Melbourne, Fisher is said to have made Carlton aware of his requests, as per reports from Callum Twomey of AFL Media.
Fisher began life with the Blues after being selected with the 27th pick of the 2016 National Draft and will cross Royal Park to join the Shinboners after 107 games in Navy Blue.
At present, North are currently armed with picks 2, 14, 19, 40, 52 and 60 at the 2023 AFL Draft in order to broker a deal.
Yet, with compensation picks still to roll in, and a bid for West Coast's opening draft selection reportedly inbound, this arsenal could well appear different by the time the Blues and Roos meet at the trade table to discuss Fisher's future.
