Carlton senior coach Michael Voss believes key forwards Charlie Curnow and Zac Williams will recover after suffering knocks in the Blues' loss to Collingwood on Friday night.

Williams was subbed out of the game at the end of the third quarter after a knock to the knee, while Curnow looked sore after landing hard from an aerial contest.

"I think [Curnow] pulled up alright. I haven't received an official update on that but given the fact I haven't received that yet, I'm hoping he's okay," Voss said post-game. "We'll obviously confirm that over the next little while, but I think he's okay."

"[Williams] is the same, he got a knock to the knee. We felt like he couldn't get going or run as well as we would like. At the point in the game it was probably a bit more conservative with the approach that we took."

Williams was arguably best on ground for the Blues, kicking three goals from 19 disposals, eight of which came in the third quarter before he was substituted out of the contest. His 470 metres gained and eight score involvements also ranked second amongst Carlton players.

Curnow's ten score involvements were a team high, but he failed to register a goal for a third consecutive week, kicking just three behinds.

The Carlton Blues have now slipped to a 6-10 record and could fall to 13th if Sydney and Essendon register wins this weekend.

The Blues stint in Victoria continues next week at Marvel Stadium, taking on the Brisbane Lions in a Thursday night blockbuster.
