West Coast have reportedly set the wheels in motion to make fringe Bulldog Jordon Sweet an Eagle in 2022.
With the 23-year-old's contract with the Whitten Oval club having expired at the cessation of this season, the Perth powerhouse have asked the question about moving the Pup further west.
According to Riley Beveridge and Mitch Cleary of AFL Media, West Coast have identified Sweet as a means of bridging the gap between 31-year-old champion Nic Naitanui and a pair of fledging talls already on their roster.
Given that 201cm Sweet broke through for five appearances in Luke Beveridge's side this season, the ruck's acquisition would allow him to play backup to the triple All-Australian ahead of youthful duo Callum Jamieson and Bailey Williams.

Williams, 21, has earned nine starts under Adam Simpson since the start of 2020, while Jamieson, also 21, has yet to debut at the senior level.
While he could yet be retained by the Dogs given Stefan Martin's age and that Tim English has been played predominately as a forward, if a move for Beveridge's other tap work preference in Lewis Young is not completed this trade period, then the South Australian Sweet may be forced to look elsewhere.
Beveridge and Cleary have both reported that an extension to remain in red, white and blue has been extended to Sweet and his management, however, said deal is yet to be inked.
The length of this proposed extension is yet to be specified.
