Adelaide have reportedly joined Geelong and Richmond in expressing interest in contracted GWS midfielder Jacob Hopper.

Reports emerged on Thursday that both the Cats and Tigers were keen on potentially moving for the 25-year-old, who may be among a handful of Giants players facing a squeeze at season's end.

Fellow midfielder Tim Taranto and Taner Bruhn have also been linked to the exit in Sydney's west, with the pair yet to recommit past this season and gaining interest from Victorian clubs.

Hopper, however, is contracted for next year but could be swooped on as a pre-agent and see the Giants gain a greater range of assets this year rather than next.

And while the Cats and Tigers may attend to pry Hopper south of the border, the Crows have emerged as another keen suitor for the midfielder's services, according to The Age.

Adelaide have shuffled their midfield pack most weeks this season, with incumbent duo Ben Keays and Rory Laird often finding new names to partner them in the engine room.

Sam Berry, Jackson Hately, Jake Soligo, Ned McHenry and Harry Schoenberg have all attended centre bounces in recent weeks, with Matthew Nicks placing greater attention on his youngster stocks.

2017 All-Australian and best and fairest winner Matt Crouch is understood to be considering a move elsewhere at season's end, with the Crows ball magnet dropped for a third time of the season this week.

Hopper, a Leeton product, has placed a focus on his football amid recent speculation around his future.

“It’s pretty straightforward, really. Let people talk, but, at the end of the day, I haven’t played footy all year and I’m pretty keen to just go out there and chase the pill,” Hopper told News Corp this week.

“This is my first one back for a long time, so I’m pretty keen to just play footy for the Giants and try and win some games.

“It’s an odd time of the year. It’s new terrain for us, because we’re normally playing finals … but there’s some boys with decisions to make, which always makes it strange for everybody involved.”

Hopper, Taranto, Lachie Whitfield, Josh Kelly, Stephen Coniglio and Callan Ward will continue to tussle for midfield minutes in the Giants' squad this season, with McVeigh set to have all six of his most senior onballers available for the back-end of the season as Hopper returns from knee surgery on Saturday against Brisbane.
