The AFL has released its list of players who have nominated themselves for the upcoming Mid-Season Draft, which will be held on Tuesday, May 26.
So far, 185 players have put their name forward for clubs to select. Players have until 3pm Monday, May 25, to nominate themselves.
Nominees have the option to attach a six or 18-month contract to their name, with 26 players choosing the latter. The headline act of the draft and likely number one pick is Tasmania Devils player Jaxon Artemis.
The 20-year-old from Western Australia has rested himself from VFL duties from this weekend onwards to avoid any injuries before draft night.
Richmond is expected to take the dashing defender with its first pick.
Currently 10 clubs (Richmond, West Coast, Port Adelaide, GWS, St Kilda, Collingwood, Western Bulldogs, Adelaide, Melbourne and Hawthorn) have at least one pick in the draft after adding players to their long-term injury lists.
The Eagles and Power are the only clubs, as of Saturday, to have two selections available in the draft.
There is a strong mix of former AFL players splattered among those pressing for a spot on an AFL list with the likes of Jack Billings (St Kilda/Melbourne), Jayden and Alwyn Davey (Essendon), Jaidyn Stephenson (Collingwood/North Melbourne) and more putting their names forward.
