The AFL has confirmed the 2023 VFL Grand Final game time, broadcast information, and ticket pricing.
After proving themselves as the two best-performing sides all season, finishing the home and away season first and second on the ladder, respectively, Gold Coast and Werribee will do battle at IKON Park this Sunday afternoon for the competition's ultimate prize.
The Suns, who boasted a 16-2 regular season record, claimed the minor premiership, while the Tigers are riding a 17-game winning streak entering the weekend's big dance.
Sunday's decider will commence at 3:10 PM (AEST) and will be broadcast live and free on the Seven Network via Channel 7 in Victoria and 7plus nationally.
The match will also be streamed live and free on AFL.com.au and the AFL Live Official App.
Pertaining to ticketing, admission prices will be $20 for adults, $15 for concession/pensioners, while children under 15 years of age can gain free entry.
Tickets can be pre-purchased at www.intix.com.au/org/vfl from midday on Monday, September 18. Spectators purchasing at the gate are advised the payment method is EFTPOS only.
AFL Head of State League Competitions Jennie Loughnan praised the clubs' seasons and for earning the right to play-off in Sunday's Grand Final.
"The Gold Coast Suns and Werribee have been the standout sides this year and are very deserving grand finalists," Loughnan said in a Monday press release.
"199 games have been played so far in the 2023 Smithy's VFL season and it is fitting the top two teams on the ladder from the home-and-away season will feature in the biggest game of the year.
"On behalf of the AFL, I would like to thank all clubs, players, umpires, venues and our broadcast and commercial partners for their tremendous support of the Smithy's VFL in 2023 and wish the Gold Coast Suns and Werribee the best of luck for the Grand Final."
Selected sides for the 2023 VFL Grand Final will be announced on Friday, September 22.
