Adelaide vs Richmond

Adelaide Oval 7:50pm (AEST) Thursday June 13

Team news: Don Pyke has rewarded the 22 who defeated the Giants last week and gone into this match unchanged. Although both listed as emergencies,  Bryce Gibbs and Sam Jacobs will remain out of the side, and they're not getting any younger.

Another turmoil week on the injury front for Richmond,  with experienced pair Trent Cotchin (hamstring) and Shane Edwards (hamstring) sidelined while Jacob Townsend has been omitted. Defensive pair Nathan Broad and Brandon Ellis return to the side alongside speedster Connor Menadue. The latest news out of the Richmond camp is that Ivan Soldo has come down with a virus, and will be replaced by Mabior Chol.

Prediction:Richmond's injury list continues to pile up, and Adelaide are beginning to find mid-year form. Crows by 29.

Essendon vs Hawthorn

Marvel Stadium 7:50pm (AEST) Friday June 14

Team news: There will be three certainties if fitness allows it, with Dylan Shiel, Orazio Fantasia and Jake Stringer the important inclusions. Despite a strong showing against the Blues prior to the bye, Dylan Clarke may make way for Shiel. Either Ben McNeice or Mark Baguley will find themselves unlucky with Fantasia returning, while Aaron Francis' role is also under threat following a quiet game a fortnight ago.

New recruit Chad Wingard has been hit with several injuries in his short-time at the Hawks, and finds himself missing this week with a hamstring setback. Despite Alastair Clarkson playing his cards close to his chest in this weeks presser, it's excepted that Dylan Moore and Harry Morrison are next in to replace the injured forward.

Prediction: Two teams in a similar position ladders wise, Essendon's ins will prove beneficial. Bombers by 10.

Gold Coast vs St Kilda

Riverway Stadium 1:45pm (AEST) Saturday June 15

Team News: The Suns host the Saints in Townsville for the first ever match for premiership points at Riverway Stadium. Excitement machine Callum Ah Chee will return to the Suns after three solid outings in the NEAFL, set to replace the injured Jordan Murdoch (ankle).

St Kilda's injury list has started to decline, with Jack Steven slowly returning from personal leave and Jake Carlisle playing in the VFL this week. Nick Hind remains in the frame after he wasn't needed for the China game, but all of Blake Acres, Daniel McKenzie and Jonathon Marsh will return following illness overseas. Captain courageous Jarryn Geary (leg) will miss, while Darrah Joyce and Nick Coffield were the late ins who may find themselves unlucky this week. Defender Jimmy Webster is also a chance.

News emerging from the Saints surrounding midfielder Jack Steele, who has injured his knee at training Thursday morning and won't take the field this week.

Prediction: Returning players and strong belief, the Saints will want to bounce back against the Suns. Saints by 16.

Fremantle vs Port Adelaide

Optus Stadium 4:35pm (AEST) Saturday June 15

Team news: A decision on Stephen Hill's fitness will be made today, and could mark his first game since Round 20 last year. With important pair Rory Lobb (foot) and Alex Pearce (ankle) injured prior to the bye, the talk this week has been around developing ruck Sean Darcy while young defender Griffin Logue will play his first game in nearly two years after dealing with foot issues the entire 2018 season.

Ken Hinkley confirmed the return of vice-captain Hamish Hartlett, who has spent over a year out of the senior side. Ollie Wines may need another week in the SANFL, a decision based on the tough surface at Optus Stadium. Earlier today, veteran Matthew Broadbent announced that he will take time away from the game to focus on his mental health.

Prediction: Dockers to make it three-in-a-row in a tight one, to move above Port in the top eight! Dockers by 9.

Carlton vs Western Bulldogs

Marvel Stadium 7:25pm (AEST) Saturday June 15

Team news: There's still little word on Marc Murphy's return, who is recovering from fractured ribs. If fit, he'll come in for Lochie O'Brien despite the youngster playing a big role in last week's win over the Lions. Matt Kennedy and Alex Fasolo won plenty of the ball in the reserves, while Andrew Phillips booted three goals.

It's unlikely the Blues will alter a winning formula, but the Bulldogs will be forced to with some handy players becoming available. All of Hayden Crozier, Mitch Wallis and Taylor Duryea will face fitness tests, with the first two the priorities. Toby McLean has struggled to recapture the form of previous seasons and may need to be rested.

Prediction: Interim coach David Teague to go 2-from-2 in a close one at Marvel. Blues by 5.

North Melbourne vs Greater Western Sydney

Blundstone Arena 3:20pm (AEST) Sunday June 16

Team news: It was an unfortunate sight for veteran Shaun Higgins last week, who injured his AC joint early in the match last week. Rhyce Shaw may look to out-of-favour mid Paul Ahern or first-year player Bailey Scott as Higgins' replacement. Jamie Macmillan (calf) has done everything to get his body right, and will add some experience down back at the expense of young Sam Durdin.

Reliable defender Nick Haynes (ankle) will need a stint on the sidelines, but it opens the door for 25-year-old Jake Stein to debut for the club, which was confirmed by coach Leon Cameron. The Giant's coach also stated that Toby Greene is expected to return, after he was a late out with a knee complaint last Saturday. Daniel Lloyd came in for Greene, yet he wasn't anywhere near as quiet as Isaac Cumming who had just nine touches.

Prediction: Giants to pinch this one and Kelly to near 40-disposals. Giants by 22.

BYE: Brisbane, Geelong, Sydney, Collingwood, Melbourne, West Coast.
