West Coast have signed 2023 Mid-Season Draft Pick 1 selection Ryan Maric to a new two-year deal, with the athletic forward remaining out west until the end of the 2026 season.
Maric joins the Eagles as the first player picked in last May's mid-year intake, joining the Perth powerhouse out of the Gippsland Power following a strong opening to his Talent League campaign.
The teenager would make his AFL debut in Round 13 last year against Adelaide, where he booted two goals, and would end his maiden season in the royal blue and gold with ten games to his name.
Set to see his 18-month contract come to an end this year, Maric and West Coast have agreed to add a further two years to the fledgling Eagle's deal.
"Stoked I'm signing on with the club until 2026. I couldn't be any happier,” Maric told the club's website.
"I'm just really excited to stay a couple more years. I've been so welcomed ever since I've come in.
"It's such a good environment seeing there's that many young boys in the club, and I just can't wait for what's next and what's to come in the future.
"I've always been pretty grateful the club picked me in the first state, and I'll be forever trying to give back to the club.
"I just feel like it's my home now."
Maric did not feature in the Eagles' Round 1 clash with Port Adelaide over the recent weekend, however a knee concern for co-captain Oscar Allen could open the door for the fringe forward to return to Adam Simpson's side.
The Eagles have their first home game of the season on Sunday when they host GWS at 6:50pm (AEDT).
