West Coast coach Andrew McQualter would not be drawn on the club's interest in stood down Sydney player Chad Warner.
Addressing media on Friday, he was asked about where he stood on the Western Australian who has been linked to the club, as talk of the future of the quintet at the centre of the Sydney saga amplifies.
"I think it's totally inappropriate to speak about that at this point in time," McQualter said.
"We don't know, no one knows at the moment, the whole situation, so probably not going to go there at the moment."
Warner is contracted to the Swans until the end of 2027.
In 2023, Nick Blakey signed the longest contract in the league at the time and is tied to the club until 2031 but could have suitors pending the outcome of the investigation given the damaged relationships off the back of the incident.
Isaac Heeney is tied to the club until 2029, Riley Bice 2028 and James Jordon 2027.
The Eagles coach also hinted the club could look at mature-agers to help it rebound up the ladder, having added a strong complement of young players in recent years.
It follows the successful acquisitions of Tom McCarthy, Milan Murdock and Marcus Herbert in recent Mid-Season Drafts/Supplemental Selection Periods.
"We're the youngest squad, I believe, in the competition, so we have to be wary how many more young players we can put into this squad," McQualter said.
"So we won't be getting another eight 18-year-olds. That's not part of our plan."
The Eagles finish their season in the Sunday twilight slot at Optus Stadium against Hawthorn.
