Hawthorn, Collingwood and Gold Coast are all understood to have Mid-Season Draft hopeful Ned Moyle in their sights.

Moyle is one of several prospects classed as almost certainties to land an AFL spot at next week's Rookie Draft, with the 19-year-old impressing in his stint with Collingwood's VFL side.

According to The Herald Sunthe three aforementioned clubs have Moyle on their radar, with the 205cm-tall prospect set to aid the competition's injury-riddled ruck stocks.

Moyle has impressed for both the Oakleigh Chargers and the the Magpies' reserves, as well as featuring for the AFL Academy earlier this year.

Hawthorn currently hold the highest draft selection between the three interested clubs and will likely hold onto the second overall pick as they face the Suns in Darwin this weekend.

Collingwood are currently one place behind the Hawks in the order by percentage, while the Suns are placed with the fourth overall pick.

Speaking on SENSam Edmund stated the Hawks are likely to select Moyle should they be the next selection after North Melbourne at the top of the board.

“There’s another ruckman in the mix in 205cm Ned Moyle. He’s improved a lot in recent times, he’s at the Oakleigh Chargers and playing VFL with Collingwood.

“He’s a real academic. It’s been as much about whether he wants to play or not, but he does and we’re hearing Hawthorn will take him.

“The query on him has been whether he wants to play at the highest level, but he does and we’re hearing the Hawks will take him with pick two.”

North Melbourne are tipped to select Sandringham Dragons tall Jacob Edwards with the first pick, while Collingwood could opt for axed Crow Tyson Stengle should they miss out on Moyle.
