The AFLW Match Review has handed down their sanctions for Round 9 of the 2022 season, with three players set to face time sat in the stands.

The biggest incident of the week belonged to Crows star Najwa Allen, who received two weeks for forceful front-on contact against Collingwood's Erica Fowler.

Allen will miss the club's final round of the season against the Saints at RSEA Park and their first finals match, which will most likely be a preliminary final in the second week of finals.

Richmond's win over GWS on Saturday accounted for over half of this week's cases at the Match Review, with both sides set to go into Round 10 without a star each.

Tigers midfielder Jess Hosking can accept a two-match ban with an early plea after engaging in rough conduct against Giant Alyce Parker in the third quarter of their hitout, with teammate Meagan Kiely being handed a $400 fine or a reprimand with an early plea against Katie Loynes in the same quarter for her act of rough conduct.

On the other side of the fence, Giants midfield star Chloe Dalton is facing time out of the side for a rough conduct incident in the third quarter on Madeline Brancatisano, with the Olympic champion able to accept a one-week suspension with an early plea.

Teammate Brid Stack was fined $400 or a reprimand with an early plea for her forceful front-on contact with Christina Bernardi, again in the third quarter, with a total of four players receiving attention from the MRP from the encounter.

In other matches throughout the league, Rachel Kearns of Geelong will receive a $400 or a reprimand with an early plea after a rough conduct charge for an incident with Saints midfielder Tilly Lucas-Rodd in the final quarter of their hitout on Saturday.

Finally, Blues midfielder Madison Prespakis can accept a fine or a reprimand with an early plea after striking Suns midfielder Daisy D'Arcy in the third quarter of Sunday's match.

The final round of the AFLW home-and-away season kicks off on Friday night between the Cats and Giants, with the makeup of the top six almost set in stone after a challenging 2022 season.

The only side who can sneak into finals actions are the Bulldogs, who, provided they upset the third-placed Lions, could take the Pies' spot if Steve Symonds' side goes down to the Tigers at Victoria Park.
