Essendon's Jordan Ridley is understood to want to play football in Queensland, putting Gold Coast and cross-town rivals Brisbane on deck.

Ridley toyed with a move last year to the Lions, but was ultimately held to his contract.

Collingwood's Ed Allan and North Melbourne's uncapped Brayden George have been mentioned in passing to the Suns.
