Nearly all 18 clubs have iconic jumper numbers vacant ahead of the 2026 AFL season, meaning new recruits and draftees could be in line to carry on a club legend's legacy.

With the retirements of several legends, the delisting of a few other greats and a number of blockbuster trades involving superstars of the game, the door has opened for some fresh faces to represent some iconic digits next year.
