North Melbourne and Alastair Clarkson have parted ways after four seasons together, even with one year remaining on his deal.
Clarkson returned to Arden Street ahead of 2023, and coached the club on 82 occasions for 20 wins.
Surprisingly, the Kangaroos rose from consecutive three-win seasons to nine this year, and were closing in on a Wildcard Round slot, but fell short.
Here are 13 names who could be a part of the North Melbourne conversation...
Interestingly, a lot of these names were part of the Carlton and Essendon coaching process.
Adam Simpson
Like Longmire, Adam Simpson is a club great of the Kangaroos.
Simpson captained North Melbourne over a 306-game career in the royal blue and white.
He was a two-time premiership player, an All-Australian and a Syd Barker medallist.
Simpson took up multiple coaching roles, some under Alastair Clarkson, before assuming the top position at West Coast in 2014.
He walked away from the Eagles midway through 2024 with one premiership under his name (2018).
