It was a long time coming, but Michael Voss' decision to leave Carlton has opened the door for many possibilities as the search begins for a new senior coach.

Names have already been linked to the Blues amid the turmoil at Ikon Park following a disappointing 18 months.

Pressure on Voss hit fever-pitch after a 1-8 start to the new season, including multiple second-half fadeouts.

Here are 10 names who could be a part of the Carlton conversation...

Brendon Lade

After a successful playing career, Lade has been in the coaches box since 2009, spending time at Richmond (2009-2016), Port Adelaide (2016-2018), St Kilda (2018-2022) and the Western Bulldogs (2022-current).

Lade was in the running for Melbourne's top job, and will continue to be in conversations for a senior coaching position.
