Gold Coast is targeting Tasmanian Devil VFL player Hugh Dixon as they look to bolster their key forward stocks.
The Suns will lose Ben King to Hawthorn, but whether that is as a free agent or a trade will be determined in the next fortnight.
King's departure opens the door for Damien Hardwick to pursue tall options inside 50, especially after missing out on Jesse Hogan, who wants to join Collingwood.
Dixon was previously on the West Coast (2022) and Fremantle's (2018-2020) list for four seasons. He played 11 games for both Western Australian clubs.
He then ventured to Southport Sharks (2024-2025) in the VFL before joining the Devils ahead of their inaugural year in the competition.
The left-footer claimed Tasmania's first best-and-fairest award following his 32-goal season, averaging 14.8 disposals and 2.6 marks in 18 games.
Dixon finished seven votes clear on top of the count.
The 27-year-old was one of the leading forwards in the VFL competition, resulting in his nod in the Team of the Year on the bench.
Gold Coast's interest, according to AFL Media, would be keen to pair Dixon alongside young talls Jed Walter and Ethan Read.
Jamarra Ugle-Hagan is also set to sign a one-year extension with heavy incentives.
