In a thrilling and unique J.J. Liston Trophy count, Frankston's Trent Mynott and Geelong's George Stevens have emerged as the recipients of the award, despite not topping the tally.
Essendon's Ben Hobbs (26 votes) and Southport Sharks' Jacob Dawson (25 votes) were both ineligible for the award, meaning Mynott and Stevens could swoop in as joint winners on 22 votes.
It is the first time since 2003 that the highest vote-getter wasn't awarded the trophy.
Dawson did earn some reprieve by claiming his third Coaches MVP Award, adding to his 2025 and 2022 nods to his cabinet.
Werribee gun forward Brady Wright won the Fothergill-Round-Mitchell Medal as the most promising VFL player aged 24 and under.
Wright is tipped to join the long line of recipients earning an AFL shot.
VFLW and Williamstown gun Emily Eaves topped the Lambert-Pearce Medal, pipping Collingwood's Dom Carbone and Carlton's Hannah Scott.
North Melbourne's Ava Seton won the Coaches MVP while Stella Huxtable was the Debbie-Lee Medallist (young player of the year).
