Tasmania Devils have re-signed forward Hugh Dixon for 2027, but have left the door ajar for a potential AFL rookie draft following Gold Coast's interest.
The Suns will welcome Dixon to the club as a train-on prospect over the summer, with an SSP position up for grabs.
The Devil key forward garnered interest from the Queensland club after a stellar 2026 VFL season, kicking 34 goals in 20 games.
The Suns farewelled free agent and leading goal-kicker Ben King but have brought in Hawthorn youngster Aidan Schubert.
Gold Coast has also confirmed the delisting of key forward pair Jamarra Ugle-Hagan and Elliott Himmelberg, but holds the view that the duo will be redrafted later in November.

Dixon won Tasmania's inaugural best and fairest, pipping Nick Williams and Jed Hagan. He also picked up the Stronger Together Award, voted by his teammates for the player who best reflects the team's values, as well as being named in the VFL Team of the Year.
Dixon has previously been AFL-listed at two clubs, initially at Fremantle, where he played one game in three seasons. He was then picked up by West Coast in 2022, featuring 10 times for the Eagles.
In between his AFL stints, he's played at state-league clubs East Fremantle (WAFL), Southport (VFL) and most recently the Devils.
More to come.
