Sydney has confirmed duo Callum Sinclair and Colin O'Riordan will retire at the conclusion of this season.

2022 is Sinclair's 10th in the AFL, however, the ruckman has not featured at senior level this season to add to his 118 career games.

The Subiaco product joined the competition with West Coast via the 2012 Rookie Draft and made his debut the following year against Hawthorn.

Sinclair would play 29 games in the blue and gold across three seasons, including the club's 2015 grad final loss to the Hawks.

The 32-year-old would move to Sydney at the end of that year in a trade for Swans utility Lewis Jetta.

“Callum has been a real warrior for us,” Sydney football boss Gardiner said.

“He has played some really good senior football with us over the journey, but in recent times his work with our VFL squad has been enormous.  He has played a selfless role for the team and been a terrific leader amongst our developing players.

“Cal is a hugely popular player amongst our group and we look forward to him finishing off his career with us in a successful fashion over the coming weeks."

O'Riordan will also depart the Swans at the end of this year, ending a career that started after he was recruited out of Ireland as a prominent Gaelic player.

The dashing defender was recruited to the Swans in 2015 and wouldn't make his debut until 2018.

O'Riordan has played 34 games for the Swans in five seasons, having not played more than 12 games in a single year, including 5 this year.

Gardiner thanked O'Riordan for his service to the club.

“Since arriving at the club, Colin has been one of the most popular members of our playing group and he will be sorely missed,” Gardiner said.

“It really is an incredible achievement to move to Australia from Ireland, learn a new game and forge a successful AFL career and Colin has been able to do just that."
