Sydney forward Joel Amartey's season is in jeopardy after scans revealed a partial tear of his achilles.
Amartey could make a late push for finals given it wasn't a complete rupture, looking at a 10-week recovery.
He sustained the injury in the loss to Brisbane last Thursday, which he failed to finish, playing just 68 per cent game time.
The Swans tall was clearly hindered by the soreness, registering three disposals, two marks and two behinds before his night was finished.

Amartey is weighing up his future as an un-contracted unrestricted free agent, with rivals circling and chasing his signature.
It's understood the Swans have tabled a five-year deal worth around $3 million.
He has kicked 28 goals this season as part of the three-pronged attack alongside Charlie Curnow and Logan McDonald.
Hayden McLean is expected to make his way back into the senior side after he was omitted following a four-week stint in the AFL.
McLean returned to the VFL, slotting six goals in the club's 133-point win over the Sandringham Dragons. He's kicked 26 in eight games.
The out-of-favour forward-ruck has fallen victim to the key tall squeeze once Charlie Curnow arrived in the Harbour City.

Untried youngster Jevan Phillipou is nearing an AFL debut after a third consecutive standout performance in the VFL.
Phillipou, the younger brother of St Kilda midfielder Mattaes, slotted five goals in the reserves rout, taking his tally to 23 majors from 12 state-league games.
Established defenders Lewis Melican and Dane Rampe played in the VFL over the weekend, returning from injury.
The pair will come into consideration, as will Matt Roberts, Billy Cootee, Corey Warner and Tom Hanily.
