Gold Coast have decided to delist pre-season recruit Ben Jepson; however have assured the Southport product of their plans to select the defender via next month's Rookie Draft.
Jepson joined the Suns earlier this year as a Supplemental Selection period signing following a strong spell in the VFL with the Sharks and Coburg.
The 24-year-old made his AFL debut in Round 19 against Adelaide, which would be his sole game at the level for the year.
Jepson recorded 12 disposals and three inside 50s in that match before returning to the VFL, where he played 16 games in 2025.
"We have committed to selecting Ben in the upcoming rookie draft," a club statement read.
"After earning a spot on our list and making his AFL debut in 2025, we believe he will continue to be a valuable member of our squad."

The Suns have also decided to promote flanker Sam Clohesy to their primary list for 2026.
Clohesy joined Gold Coast from VFL outfit Werribee as a rookie selection in 2023, and has since played 34 games at AFL level, including 14 this year.
The Suns have cut Thomas Berry, Lloyd Johnston and Alex Sexton this year, while Ben Ainsworth (Carlton Blues), Connor Budarick (Western Bulldogs), Brayden Fiorini (Essendon Bombers), Sam Flanders (St Kilda Saints), Sean Lemmens (retired), Malcolm Rosas (Sydney Swans) and David Swallow (retired) have also departed.
Gold Coast currently hold Picks 15, 18, 24, 28, 29, 36 and 52 for this year's AFL Draft.
