Western Bulldogs-tied small forward Khaled El Souki has been a high-production player at Talent League level this year.
He has the strength and power to beat players at the contest and burst away, making him a dynamic threat at forward 50 stoppages.
While his athletic limitations have been well documented this year, he has the smarts and timing to put himself in the right position and arguably has the best finishing in front of goals in the crop.
He is also able to go into the midfield and win clearances, but will need to build his endurance base before he is capable of doing so at AFL level.
El Souki played VFL footy for Footscray and was one of the Bulldogs' best on debut, proving he is able to match it against bigger bodies.
Where El Souki ends up has been heavily intertwined with the Bulldogs' pursuit of Zak Butters; by landing the big-name midfielder, they are now somewhat compromised points-wise but still have the assets to make it work and welcome El Souki if it is something they plan to do, and the true crumbing forward role is an area the Dogs do need to address.
