The Giants were the dominating side from start to finish in this match. After three goals in the opening quarter, the Giants continued to pile on the scoreboard pressure allowing them to defeat Southport by 48 points.
Kick Shipley was best on ground for the Giants. The youngster finished with an outstanding 40 disposals and nine clearances.
Zach Sproule and Kieren Briggs were both dangerous down forward, slotting five and two goals respectively.
The Giants will have to train hard this week as they come up against the undefeated Brisbane Lions.
